Fall Update

I know it's been way too long since my last update! Things have been crazy around here! Noah is doing well, learning new things everyday. Here are some of the things that Noah has learned in the last few months:

7 months: Army crawling (scooting on his belly)
7.5 months: Mastered the pincer grasp (picking small objects up with his thumb and pointer finger)
8 months: First teeth came in! He has his bottom two middle teeth and I think we're getting ready for the top middle ones soon! Uh oh! But they're oh so cute!
8.5 months: Crawling on all fours, pulling up, CRUISING and CLIMBING.

Those last few milestones are keeping me VERY busy! He's had a lot of falls as he tries out those new skills, and just recently he's been letting go after he pulls up.... He's trying to stand on his own!! He amazes me everyday! And he's not scared. He tries things and a lot of times he fails, but he just keeps trying until he does it successfully! He's one determined little boy :)

No real words from Noah yet, though I swear he says, "Hi!" to me on occasion. He mostly just babbles and yells a lot. Noah LOVES his Daddy. He loves me too, but he sees me all day and night. When Corey comes home from work, Noah just lights up and crawls as fast as he can to Daddy. It's the sweetest thing I've ever witnessed. I have a feeling his first word will be 'Dada' :)

We've been blessed with a very happy baby, but he does have his bad days like every other person. One thing that will always make him happy is going outside. We take a lot of walks around the neighborhood. He loves going in the stroller and just looking at all the colors and shapes.

I know I'm probably forgetting some things, but that's all I've got for now. So I'll leave you with some pictures of my ridiculously adorable son. Enjoy!

6 months old!

It's hard to believe Noah is already 6 months old. Not a whole lot has happened since my last post... We've added nectarines, blueberries, and squash to his solids diet as well as yogurt (which he LOVES). At his 6 month well-visit he was 15 pounds, 2 ounces & 26 inches long (long and skinny! Just like us!). The doctor said he was exactly where he should be developmentally and is very healthy. We were also given the go-ahead to try a sippy cup anytime....that should be fun :) Here are some recent pictures:

5 1/2 months old!

I can't believe Noah will be 6 months old in 2 weeks! He's getting so big! Noah has been eating purees for about a month and a half now (for lunch and dinner in addition to nursing). He has successfully eaten green beans, sweet potatoes (his favorite!), pears, bananas and peas without any problems (although he HATES peas--we're still working on that one). He loves eating and has recently started trying to "feed" himself, although most of the time he ends up smacking himself in the face with the spoon :P He loves being read to and would "stand" all day if someone would just hold him there :) He rolls both ways and despite my best efforts, has recently decided that he prefers sleeping on his tummy (he always rolls himself onto his belly during the night). Noah's been sleeping through the night for a little over a month now and I can't tell you how wonderful it is! It's amazing how much happier everyone is after a good night's sleep!

His new favorite thing in the world is Daisy (and I think the feeling is mutual!). He watches her all day long and laughs when she does things like wag her tail or wiggle around on her back. Most of you know that Daisy is a licker, well it seems this has gotten even worse since Noah came around. She just can't resist his little feet...and hands...and face. It's a constant battle (one that I usually lose) to try and keep her from licking him. He loves to reach out and "pet" her and grab her ears when she licks him and of course he thinks it's hilarious. They're best buds. I just know they are going to have so much fun together once he becomes mobile. Speaking of mobile, Noah tries VERY hard to scoot on his belly. He sticks his little tush up in the air and tries to push with his legs but nothing happens. I have a feeling he'll be crawling before we know it!

We went on vacation a couple of weeks ago to visit my grandparents in PA and to the beach in Ocean City, NJ. We all had so much fun! I was very nervous about taking Noah on a 12+ hour road trip, but he surprised us all by sleeping most of the time that we were in the car both ways (we traveled at night). In fact, he was really great during the entire trip; I couldn't have asked for a better baby! It was great visiting with everyone and we were sad to leave.

We are currently on the lookout for a tooth. Noah has been a drool monster for a few months now (and it just keeps getting worse!) and will just gnaw on anything you give him (including fingers!).

Here are some pictures from our vacation:

Updates

Noah is 4 months old today!! We went to the doctor this morning and he had another round of vaccinations :(  He's a champ though and only cried for a second.  He's sleeping it off now.

Here are his 4 month stats: 13 pounds, 6 ounces & 24 1/2 inches long! The doctor said he looks just perfect! It's hard to believe that only 4 months ago he was 8 pounds lighter and 6 1/2 inches shorter!! He was so tiny!

Noah gets more fun and happy everyday.  He's becoming more independent and loves to just lay on his play mat and look up at the toys. He's rolling belly-to-back and is working very hard to roll back-to-belly, but isn't quite there yet.  Nowadays, pretty much anytime I put him on his back, he'll scoot himself around and do 180s and 360s!  He has excellent head control and is doing very well sitting up assisted (still working on unassisted).

He's constantly cooing, smiling and laughing. He's a very happy baby! His smiles just make me melt!  :D

Noah talking after a bath

Moving and some new Noah pics

I finally have a chance to get on here and give an update! Between moving into the new house and trying to get settled in, and taking care of Noah, I haven't had a lot of free time lately. Things are going well though, the house is great and Noah is just growing and growing. He's getting so big!

Here are some pictures of Noah in his new house:
